Kleinwalsertal in Austria
Kleinwalsertal is Vorarlberg's largest ski area (120km) and is made up of three main villages: Riezlern, Hirschegg, Mittleberg, where our holidays are based. The only access to this area is through Germany.
This hidden gem was settled by the Swiss from the Wallis region and has always had its own character. When it comes to sport, there’s a wealth on offer – from skiing for all levels, snow golf, horse-drawn sleighing, and tennis in the winter to feeling the sun’s warm rays on your skin while out hiking, mountain biking, climbing, playing tennis and just breathing in the pure Alpine air in the summer.
It’s a great place to take a break and give yourself a treat by relaxing with a gentle massage and a traditional hay bath.
Kleinwalsertal has everything you need and is rich in culture, architecture, folk costumes, culinary arts and dialect – all from longstanding traditions that have been kept proudly alive by the local people.
All our hotels are located in Mittleberg and are close to the ski slopes and the tennis centre. A free bus runs frequently between all three villages.
