**New ski lift for 2010/2011**
Brand is a picturesque mountain resort in the west of Austria that offers excellent skiing, with modern facilities and uncrowded slopes. The resort’s two ski schools employ modern teaching methods and friendly English-speaking ski instructors.
Brand is ideal for beginners and intermediates, or people returning to skiing after a lengthy break. There is excellent après ski for families, and more experienced skiers will enjoy exploring the Brandetal ski area.
The facilities are superb with a new gondola from the village centre to the slopes, extensive snow cannons and short lift queues.
If you want to try something different, we also offer the special combination of skiing and tennis - ski in the morning and play tennis in the afternoon - the best of both worlds! Brand also offers sledging, horse riding, archery, indoor golf, winter walking and snowshoeing. Alternatively, just relax and enjoy the superb scenery and fresh mountain air.

The village has a supermarket, a shop selling local produce, two banks and
three ski hire shops. There is a post office service available in the tourist
office. Extensive shopping is available in the nearest town of Bludenz,
home of Suchard chocolate. There is free parking in the village.
