Corporate Mixed Doubles Sussex Tennis League 2009
Corporate players from businesses in Sussex can take part in a mixed doubles
tennis league sponsored by Pure Alpine Holidays in support of Save the Children
Fund.
Join players from the likes of Europ Assistance, EDF, Southern Water, and
many other businesses from Sussex.
This is a fun event and is open to players of all tennis abilities offering
a chance to network with players working in your area while representing
and promoting your company. It’s a great way to mix business with pleasure,
enjoy social competitive tennis, raise funds for a great cause and to win
some fabulous prizes.
Get involved
• We are looking for mixed doubles pairs to represent their
company and raise money for Save the Children Fund through sponsorship and
donations.
• Companies can enter as many pairs as they wish. Participants must work
in Sussex and partners can be from different companies.
• Winners of the league will be given a wild card to go through to the Save
the Children Fund Corporate Tournament Grand Finals www.savethechildren.org
in December 2009 at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton and the chance
to play against celebrity wildcard entrants.

When and where
• The league starts on 4 May and will run throughout the summer until October.
Finals will be held at the Brighton Racquets Club on 4th October 2009.
• Nine matches are played in three rounds and can be played at a mutually
agreed venue (tennis clubs/parks). The first round is from 4 May – 21 June,
the second round starts 22 June and ends 9 August. The third and final round
starts 10 August and ends 28 September.
How to Play
• Join a doubles partner and submit your entry. Entry fee is £25 per person
(£50 per pair)
• Once all entries are received you will be notified who you are drawn against
and the division boxes will be posted on our website
• Three matches are played per round and must be played by the end date
of each round
• Match results are e-mailed by players to tennisleague@purealpineholidays.co.uk
and will be posted on www.purealpineholidays.co.uk
• At the end of each round the pair with the most points will move up a
division and the pair with the lowest score will move down a division.
Fundraising
Each player is encouraged to raise money through sponsorship, donations
or the sale of raffle tickets. The player that raises the most funds will
win a fantastic day out at Wimbledon with former No1 Julie Pullin. Your
day will include a hit with Julie on one of Wimbledon’s grass courts (weather
permitting), lunch at the All England Club and a tour of Wimbledon.
