An exciting opportunity to ski and indulge in your passion for food. We have created a fantastic and unique holiday for you together with Michelin star chef and founder of the Italian Slow Cooking Association, Stefano Masanti from the Il Cantinone Restaurant in Madesimo, .
You will enjoy the uncrowded slpoes of Madesimo in the morning and in the afternoons you will learn how to prepare traditional and regional Italian food. Your host and Michelin star chef, Stefano will show you the joys of slow cooking and eating.
You will learn how to choose the ingredients that you'll cook using traditional
and original cooking methods. Resident Sommelier, Rafaella will guide you
through choosing the right wines made from local Nebbiolo grapes.

From £ 770.00 Per person per week, includes half board accommodation in a junior suite in 4 * Sporthotel Alpina, daily access to the hotel wellness, swimming pool and a ski pass.

Saturday
Arrival – Welcome to Madesimo and guests familiarise themselves with the
village
Evening meal and free time
Sunday
Morning - Organisation of ski hire, ski passes and ski lessons if needed,
then first outing on the slopes.
Evening of tasting Lombardy wines, discovering the three main wines of Oltrepo Pavese (sparkling, light reds), Franciacorta (best italian sparkling), Valtellina (best italian mountain reds) under the guidance Raffaella our resident professional Sommelier.

Afternoon – How to cook true italian dried pasta, discover Stefano's simple
secrets assisted by his second chef Ms Esme.
Tuesday
Morning skiing
Afternoon – The world of the fresh pasta. Stefano and his second chef, Ms
Esme will teach you how to make ravioli, lasagne and tagliatelle.
Wednesday
Morning skiing
Afternoon – A visit to Chiavenna. Guests will visit a cheese maker, butcher,
old pastry shop, stone pan carver (with a 2500 year history), Mamete Prevostini
winery, visit the old town for some shopping and finish off with dinner
in a Crotto (natural cave) with Stefano.
Thursday
Morning skiing
Afternoon – Stefano and and his second chef, Ms Esme will teach you how
to cook fish and meat the simple way.
Friday
Morning skiing
Afternoon – Italian classic desserts - Stefano will teach you how to make
a delicious tiramisù and Italian ice cream.
Evening - A farewell gala dinner (7 courses with wine). Guests will recieve
a certificate and gourmet gift.
